Do you agree with Harry Potter’s final reactions?

At the end of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince(TM), Harry makes some big decisions about his relationships with Hermione, Ron, Ginny, and the entire Hogwarts community. What is he trying to do? Do you agree?

Write 1 paragraph that explain how Harry is changing his relationship with Hermione, Ron, Ginny, and Hogwarts.

Then, write another paragraph that explains whether you agree or disagree with him. Are Harry’s ideas the best thing for him?

Be sure to cite 5 facts from the book as you write these 2 paragraphs. That way, your reader will know you completely represented Harry’s decisions, and how they may play out.

Is Snape a coward?

At one point, Harry Potter calls Severus Snape a coward, and Snape “screamed” at him for saying he was a coward.

Do you think Severus Snape is a coward?

Explain your reasoning using at least 5 events or facts from the story.

  • Paragraph 1: States your opinions and summarizes the reasons why you believe that is true.
  • Paragraphs 2-4: Explains each reason listed in Paragraph 1 using facts and quotes from the book.
  • Paragraph 5: Summarizes your argument and restates the main idea of your argument.
