Many STEM activities (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.teachengineering.org\/activities\/view\/cub_environ_lesson06_activity2\" target=\"_blank\">like this one from Teach Engineering<\/a>) encourage you to work in teams. If you can&#8217;t work in teams, these steps make it possible for you to do this activity at home with common materials: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-luminous-vivid-amber-background-color has-background\">TAKE YOUR <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1G_AHde-NpC5EC_DFCWkAXRzshvXAXk8_O4-eglRKPLE\/edit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NOTES HERE<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Dirty Water (add coffee grounds, grass, rocks, etc.)<\/li><li>2 Measuring container (one for dirty water, one to catch cleaned water)<\/li><li>Create filters using water bottles (you can also use two-liter bottles but they are heavier and harder to use)<\/li><li>Rubber bands to secure layers<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Choices for filter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Large filtering components (gravel, pebbles, rocks, sand)<\/li><li>Filtering materials (screens, coffee
