Old Man<\/td>\nThreescore and ten I can remember well:<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nWithin the volume of which time I have seen<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nHours dreadful and things strange; but this sore night<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Old Man<\/td>\nTis unnatural,<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nEven like the deed that's done. On Tuesday last,<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nA falcon, towering in her pride of place,<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nWas by a mousing owl hawk'd at and kill'd.<\/td>\n15<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
ROSS<\/td>\nAnd Duncan's horses––a thing most strange and certain––<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nBeauteous and swift, the minions of their race,<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nTurn'd wild in nature, broke their stalls, flung out,<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nContending 'gainst obedience, as they would make<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nWar with mankind.<\/td>\n20<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Old Man<\/td>\nTis said they eat each other.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
ROSS<\/td>\nThey did so, to the amazement of mine eyes<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nThat look'd upon't. Here comes the good Macduff.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
[Enter MACDUFF]<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nHow goes the world, sir, now?<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
MACDUFF<\/td>\nWhy, see you not?<\/td>\n25<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
ROSS<\/td>\nIs't known who did this more than bloody deed?<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
MACDUFF<\/td>\nThose that Macbeth hath slain.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
ROSS<\/td>\nAlas, the day!<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nWhat good could they pretend?<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
MACDUFF<\/td>\nThey were suborn'd:<\/td>\n30<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nMalcolm and Donalbain, the king's two sons,<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nAre stol'n away and fled; which puts upon them<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nSuspicion of the deed.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
ROSS<\/td>\nGainst nature still!<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nThriftless ambition, that wilt ravin up<\/td>\n35<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nThine own life's means! Then 'tis most like<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nThe sovereignty will fall upon Macbeth.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
MACDUFF<\/td>\nHe is already named, and gone to Scone<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nTo be invested.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
ROSS<\/td>\nWhere is Duncan's body?<\/td>\n40<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
MACDUFF<\/td>\nCarried to Colmekill,<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nThe sacred storehouse of his predecessors,<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\nAnd guardian of their bones.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
ROSS<\/td>\nWill you to Scone?<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
MACDUFF<\/td>\nNo, cousin, I'll to Fife.<\/td>\n45<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
ROSS<\/td>\nWell, I will thither.<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
MACDUFF<\/td>\nWell, may you see things well done there: adieu!<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
