Light

What is chapter 15 mainly about?

When Despereaux asks Gregory to put him down, what does Gregory say?

What does Gregory show Despereaux in the dungeon?

What are the reasons Gregory says the pile of spoons, bowls, and kettles is there?

At the end of chapter 15, the author addresses the reader directly.

What does she tell us?

In the same quote (below), who is the reader? "This look, reader, broke Roscuro's heart."

Look at the section where Gregory tells Despereaux why he will save him, when he has never saved another mouse in the dungeon. The author writes, "Because you, mouse, can tell Gregory a story. Stories are light. Light is precious in a world so dark."

In this context, what does "precious" mean?

Were there any events that weren't clear to you?
