What’s their boggart?

In “Flight of the Fat Lady”, there was deep discussion about boggarts. To a partner, describe what a boggart is and what it shows about a person.

Fear makes characters act in strange ways. Choose a character from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and create a sketch of their boggart. Write 1-2 sentences of explanation that uses a quote from the book. Your explanation should show why that is their fear and if their fear motivated them to do something.

Share your boggart drawing and explanation with someone.

Then, create a second boggart drawing and explanation for another character.

Yearbook Page

If you can, work in a team to complete this exciting project.

Hogwarts has contracted you to create one page of Hogwarts yearbook.

The front of the page will have drawings of 10-12 characters that attend school. For each drawing, write down one quote that shows you think he or she looks that way.

On the back page, create a group or team photo. Then, write a paragraph that explains what that group or team did at Hogwarts this year. Edit your paragraph so that it is easy to read.

Dobby hid Harry’s letters way back in Chapter 1. Let’s make an argument!
