Start with a cursy and finish with the thread

What is chapter twenty–nine mainly about?

When Mig falls down, what does the princess do?

What is Pea using the red thread for?

In chapter twenty–nine Pea tells Mig that she is making a tapestry.

In this context, what does "tapestry" mean?

Twice in chapter twenty–nine, Pea gives Mig a "deep" look. The first is when Pea tells Mig she is sorry that her mother died and she gave her a "deep look of sympathy." The second time is after Mig tells Pea that she will be a princess someday, and Pea gave Mig "…another quick, deep look…"

In this context, what does "deep" mean?

Were there any events that weren't clear to you?

A song in the dark

What is chapter thirty–one mainly about?

What does Mig sing about?

Why is Mig not scared in the dungeon?

Look at the section towards the beginning of chapter thirty–one, where the author describes how some of Uncle's clouts hit Mig's nose instead of her ears. Kate DiCamillo writes, "This happened enough that it interrupted the proper workings of Mig's olfactory senses."

In this context, what are the "olfactory senses"?

Look at the section of chapter thirty–one where Mig sees the soup items in the dungeon. Kate DiCamillo writes, "…the towering pile of spoons and bowls and kettles."

In this context, what does "towering" mean?

Were there any events that weren't clear to you?
