Visiting the Places where Independence was Born

Every July 4th, we celebrate America declaring independence from Britain. The American colonists became American citizens that day. However, it would take 7 years for the revolution to guarantee American freedoms. This tour of July 4th uses primary documents and virtual reality so you can explore the ideas and sights that the founding fathers shared.

Choose your adventures! (If no links appear below, please purchase access first).

So sorry to hear that your family has been sick! We built this site so people with iPads could explore the places that created your Civics class. I pulled down the paywall so that you can explore these places and videos as you are resting. (The more you hear these Social Studies words in context; the easier it will be for you to describe them.) If you want to discuss any projects through Gdrive or email, please do not hesitate to reach out. Hope you feel better soon!
[wcm-restrict plans=”gold,July4″][wcm-restrict]

We hope you are able to explore these places and ideas to come to a conclusion about what independence meant in 1776 and what it means today. If you would like to create a poster, story, drawing, or explanation of American Independence, you can share it with us here.

Upload your picture here.

Thanks so much for taking the time to better understand the foundations of America.

Character Development in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

You probably know that there are many books in this series. Do you think Harry Potter will be the same in all of the books? Do you think he will change over time?

Write a paragraph that describes who Harry Potter is today. Use three pieces of evidence from the book to show why your description is correct.

Then, write a second paragraph that describes who you imagine Harry Potter will be in 10 years. What is the same? What is different? Use two pieces of evidence from the book to show why your description is correct.
